A stunning pair of vintage and mid-century furniture in a three drawer chest by G Plan furniture. The chests consists of three hand crafted drawers with each one having superb double dovetail jointing and offering excellent storage, two of the drawer fronts are in oak while the top drawer is in white, too each of the drawer fronts the handles run along the bottom of the fronts and are concealed to give a beautiful clean line look to the cabinet. The chest of drawers has been hand crafted by G Plan furniture and has the gold embossed E Gomme logo within the top drawer, the cabinet has been designed by Richard Young who came to work for G Plan between 1961-1963 the cabinet is from the Youngs Idea bedroom range and released in 1963, Richard Young is a superb but not very well known about designer who went on to form Merrow, with this G Plan range not appearing within G Plan catalogues the range was so far ahead of it's time that it wasn't a commercial success so is a really rare piece of mid century furniture with a short production time. The cabinet is a stunning and genuine piece of vintage and mid century furniture that looks amazing with a wonderful look and styling that would suit any home or environment
